Thumbs up Now it Begins

Well I got my first upgrades on the new '08. I installed a Carriage Works upper and lower billet style grill and the Pace Edwards "Jack Rabbit" tonneau. Both of these are excellant quality . The truck now has a much better appeal. But the upgrades have just begun.

Next mod is the Roush cat back exhaust with the dual side exit behind the tire. It should be in sometime toward the end of the month. Then in about 4-6 months the Roush supercharger goes in. But as far as the front plates........I live in Texas and it's a state law to have it. The authorities around where I live have zero tolerance on that. It's a ticket not a warning. The truck is only a few days old so my actual plates have not come in yet. I'm not just sporting the dealer tag. Thanks for the compliments. I really like the color.

I have an 07' white sand and also like the color. I would suggest some paint to match or LT handles.

Love the grille, but not so much the cover. Plz remove the front license plate if your state dosen't require it, it's so big and bulky it takes away from the sexiness of the -150's!

BTW, pick up a set of stealth corner bulbs. It's a really great mod for the $$$ !

Unfortunantly...

I did get by with no front plate for approximately a month when i replaced my front bumper.
Got pulled over then, but had the plate and plate holder sitting in the bed.
Told the nice officer that the plate holder had ripped off and that i ordered and was waiting for a new one. No ticket, just a warning.

Bad thing about living in a small town is that you can only use an excuse ONE time before that same officer sees your truck again so plate had to go back on.

Fun part is that if you read the TXDOT requirements.. it says you have to have a visible front plate...
it doesnt say WHERE it has to be though... lol (loophole!)
Im still devising a nice and unique way to show off the front of our trucks without the hideous plate holder and still remain TXDOT compliant

anyway, back to our regularly scheduled thread.

Nice first few mods Johnie, mine was the billets too, keep them coming! soon enough youll be addicted just like everyone else here!

That looks really nice. I'll have to check up on that upgrade.

That tonneau was about a grand installed. It's one of the better ones that Pace Edwards has.

Texas.. thats funny. Does Texas still allow an open container for all passengers? Guns, booze, no problem.... but make sure you have your front licence plate mounted.
