LED tail and 3rd problem

Installed a new LED 3rd brake light a week ago - no problems.

Installed some new 3157 LED bulbs in my tails along with a EP27 flasher to cure the hyper flash.

My problem is since I put my tail LEDs in my 3rd brake light stays at half or less brightness all the time now, (when the truck is running, not when the truck is off and the keys are out).

WTF is going on?

Are you saying your 3rd brakelight is dimmed out like it wants to be a running light?

And it doesn't even matter if my headlights are on or not.

My recon third brake stays on like a dim running light also but only when the lights are on. I have the flasher also. Don't know why but it works.

I think it might have something to do with the flasher - is that possible? Are they tied together somehow?

I'll pull the flasher and put the stock one back in tomorrow and see if that works.

Actually, I had LED bulbs and a Recon third in my previous truck, '97 Ranger, and I did not have this "dim running" light. It must be something with the 150's letting some stray current thru or something to that effect.

Well, just switched back to the stock flasher and the same problem is there.

I fail to see how switching to LED tails now makes the 3rd a running light.
