LED tails/3rd Brake Lights!

Got some LEDs for Christmas/Birthday and I'm just now getting the chance to post on here to show you guys the coolness of em!

Here are some pics:

Stock-looking tails (well, and they're smoked to blend in with the truck) that I got from ebay

3rd brake imo stand out too much.. but the tails are decent.. closest ones to oem look...

brightness is great at night but find leds during the day to be hard to see.. and the dispersement of light looks weird to me compared to the even/filling hologen.

they flow well though with the body colour

and here are some more fruitful pics: the ones that actually show the lights!!!

LEDS! with cargo lights on

Back-Up bulbs (got em from wal-mart a while back. they're nothing special)

Full night pic...the LEDs are so bright!

I really love the way these lights look, how they almost look stock or smoked stock (like I used to have) but when they're on they look very distinct. I'm very impressed with them! I think for both the lights on ebay and the Recon it was about 250 bucks, which isn't bad compared to some of the other LED tails out there!!

I'm contemplating getting a LED tailgate strip, but not one of the spectacular ones (I like the simpler look of just the red LEDS). I just want the strip to be on. I don't even want it to blink when I have a turn signal on. What do y'all think? Yay or Nay?

I'm somewhat hesitant on the light bar because of the somewhat excessive-seeming space between my tailgate and my rear bumper...I need to look into that more.

Well, I guess I'm not entirely opposed to the light bar blinking...I would certainly prefer that over the cascading amber lights (not a fan of those at all!) But, blinking or not, I'll probably get a light bar (eventually).

Yeah, that Recon 3rd light would look better if you smoked the smoked brakelight it some more.

I really don't want to see a non-smoked Recon 3rd brakelight...

No problem! Installation is super easy, and the quality seems to be fairly good.

And I agree, I think the 3rd brake would look better if it was smoked more. I don't know if I'll actually spray this one like I did my stock one...that ended up not looking so good (months later) lol

Overall I'm extremely pleased with the way the look though, especially lit up.

I searched that link you gave me and the same seller is selling some dark-smoked LED 3rd brake light but it was for trucks w/o the cab lights (my truck) and I was thinking of getting the 3rd brakelight with the white cab lights and wiring them myself.

ive been looking for tails like this. on the site it says no modification is needed but how do you go from bulb to led? do you take the bulb out and plug it into the light or use a bulb that just lights up through holes making it look led ish?
