Just wanted to say that, at least around here, Advanced Auto has the Silverstars and Ultras on sale. $27 for Silverstars, and 37 for Ultras. That's for a pair.

I only buy things online if they are big items. Things you can find locally will save you $$$ from shipping.

I watched a thing on tv about this
It all has to do with the light beam and the way the bulb is made
Stock HID kits are correctly patterened and do not "scatter" on the road and blind oncoming traffic

Aftermarket kits are usually just put in the regular housing and therefore the light pattern is scattered and then blinds the oncoming traffic.

just a tidbit i thought id share

So, if I were to buy a set of projector headlights, would that clear up the legality issues? Or are they (cops) just out to get the common man for trying to better his way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Because, HID's sure would make me happy!

My cousin (local cop) says unless they were doing something else, he wouldn't pull someone over let alone ticket them for HID's

Get the silverstars, and stay away from the plug and play HIDs... Blinding people is not cool. If you really have to have HIDs then do a little reading over at www.hidplanet.com/forums first

My HID's "blind" people less than my stock headlights did. Even despite the fact that they're up in the air atm.

I'd rather sacrifice somebody being pissed at me in their compact car than sacrifice my safety on the back roads at night. Call me a *****, it's all the same.
