Snugtop lid re allignment

So I was carrying a crate for my new supercharger in the bed of my truck and didn't take the time to remove my tonneau cover because it was raining. anyways, the crate didn't allow the cover to close, so I had to drive about ten miles with the lid sitting on top of the crate, about half a foot from being closed. when i unloaded the truck and closed the lid, the allignment was all off and i had to wrestle with the thing to get it to sit properly. however, everytime i open the lid now it slides back outta allignment. anyone else have this problem or can help me re allign the tonneau cover properly?thanks for your help.

I've never had that problem with mine. I do know it says not to drive with it like that in the instructions.

yeah, I was just in such a hurry to get it home, it was sitting on my buddy's lawn and it was going to rain soon... well, I guess there's a reason they say not to drive like that eh.

I have that issue with my tonneau cover. The passenger's side bracket that sits on the top of the box always slides off, so it'll only shut on one side. The problem is that its pulling the plastic cover -- thats part of the top of the box -- out of it's holes and it doesn't want to stay clipped in. It's been like this for almost a year, but ive never had time to fix it. I just give the railing a yank and then i can close it fine.

Maybe one of the clamps is loose on yours or maybe the plastic piece on top of the truck box is pulling up causing it to slide off everytime.
