Glare from chrome shifter and surround

I have searched the forums and only came up with one hit on Shifter Glare.
Responses were to tint the windows. I need help finding a fix to eliminate the glare from my shifter and shifter surround. I am surprised this doesn't bother more people. I have a sunroof and tinted windows but the glare is still aggrivating.
Thanks in advance for any actual suggestions.

I can't say I have ever noticed it being a problem.

I, also wear polarized glasses, but this is a reflection issue, not a glare issue. I guess that because the reflection of the sun on the shifter happens so infrequently, I just deal with it.
