disassembling LT handles

Can anyone point out to me how to get the handle/strap off the bucket. I been messing with them for a few days now and cant seem to figure it out. Its probably obvious or really easy, and my search yielded no results on the subject of disassembling them for paint. Thanks

If you send me your e-mail address Ill send you a .pdf file that shows you how t o disassble the handle from the bucket.

I ordered me some chrome handles and found some instructions on how to remove the handles.

Also do you plain on painting therm your yourself? If so what kind of prep work is invold to paint the buckets? I cant make up my mind if I want to keep my buckets black or take them to a local paint shop and have them painted.

Hey, that would be awesome. . MattLaw11@gmail.com

I found this on the prep work needed for the mirrors, not sure if the same would apply for the pre-painted LT buckets.

Im going to try the prep work out for the mirrors, but let a pro do the paint.

07screw i just sent you the .pdf instructions. Took mine apart tonight Im going to stop by a local paint shop and see what they will charge to paint the buckets. If very expensive Im just going to put them back in and add the Chrome door handles. They look really sweet! I'll post pics when done. Since my truck is a 2005 they dont have the LT in my truck color.
