ive been trying talk get some shops to. but the last 2 i talked to said they wouldnt do it.

it had to do with messing with safety stuff. they said that they cant alter anything like that. i found a shop that might do it though.

they havent called back yet. ill probably call them tomorrow after class. the last time i called, i talked to just one of the service guys, he said that he would have to check with his supervisor before he could give me an answer. although, yesterday i wet sanded the lights and used some plastic polish on them and it really helped. but they still look milky in some spot from the clear

Yeah, you definately over-sprayed the clear coat.

thats no good.. make sure to sand all the clear down before they clear coat it for u..

I don't think you would have to worry about that. I work at the Mercedes Benz plant in Vance, AL and I actually install Right and Left side tail lights on the assembly line. We have 2 variants of tail lights, a light one and a dark one (tinted), or Sport as they call it.

From looking at the picture, his tail lights look about the same tint as the ones that I put on the Mercedes. I don't think Benz would make a illegal tail light but I might be wrong.
