yah the clear adds the gloss look to them. Im gonna take mine apart, paint the insides black, then take them to a buddies body shop to spray them black and clear.

make sure u spray each light the same and dont spray them together do one at a time.. i didnt use clearcoat from autozone i took it to a body shop and had them clear coat it.. if u ask them if they can do that.. and see how much they charge.. but besides that u'll be ok.. dont forget to wetsad the light before u spray it on there.. and wetsand it when the paint is on.. then take it to get cleared

wetsand once the black dries, get it to the finish you want, but dont go too deep, then clear it. Only wetsand the clear if your going to buff it, but i didnt have to do that

the black was dry enough to sand in 10 minutes, i sat them out in the sun. Then the clear was dry in about 20 minutes, didnt want my hand print in them because you have to push them to snap in place.

ok. they werent exactly what i was expecting. they didnt turn out glossy like Built's. but they do look good. i also used the extra to do my old stock corners. they look pretty tight.
