Hey jrussell63670 and bmx150 glad you liked it! I can only say good things about snaptint, great product and super fast shipping. It's really not too hard to do yourself, and if you screw a piece up you can order another, but you have to pay for it, but at least you don't have to order a whole other kit.

Anyway, a couple observations on installation. Follow the instructions! Especially about the window prep and scraping with a razor blade, you can't get those windows clean enough! Spend some time prepping them, you don't want to see crap in your new tine.

Don't be afraid to use lots of water/soap either! You can't use too much, hose the window down, and hose down the tint before sticking it on. Ideally you want a layer of water across the entire window and tint. Anywhere there's not water you're likely going to get air trapped under the tint so don't get cheap with that spray!

Just take you time, think ahead and you'll be fine. I found it easiest to slip the excess under the window seal at the bottom of the window first thing after I stuck the tint on the glass, it's easier to slide the tint around before you start squeezing water out. Take your time working the water out, and don't forget to spray the tint with water before you start squeezing the water out. That will lubricate it and prevent any potential scratches from rubbing on dry tint. And seriously, say you totally bone it up, you're only out $35. For me it was totally worth the risk when the shop wanted $150!

Have fun!

I was installing my tint this weeke when all of a sudden, the wind caught it and kinked/tore the **** out of it. Oh well it was only $35. Just ordered another set about 5 minutes ago. Hopefully it'll be here monday. Now I gotta clean out the garage and hope the truck fits in.

I ordered 5% for the front and 20% to go over the factory tint in the rear. If my math is correct, it should be a ***** on match.

Also...if anyone is gonna order from snaptint, use the coupon code FRIENDS10 to get a 10% discount.

I have a 04 Heritage Single Cab and had the 2 windows and rear done with 15% for $90. And went back had my windshield tinted with 35% for $40. Watched him and have done my '06 Explorer and '03 LS V8. EASY. Just get out of the wind and make sure it is WET!!! Take your time and go from top down and you should be good to go. Heat gun is nice if you have one. Oh and Louisiana law states that windshield no tint, front windows must be 50%, rear passenger windows 20%, and 35% on back glass. The fine in my parish is NUTS $750 for tint violation. Plus they take a razor blade and cut an "X" in your tint. And thats even if they feel its too dark.
