i used solargard 20% smoke on my 2005 tacoma and on my new F150, had it on the taco for 2 years no problems with fading/purple/peeling etc... check out the pic, just had it done this week, i think its a very close match-more pix in my gallery

i hate that green ****!
i had that put on my front windows and had it pulled off a week later! i didn't know that about sungard tho, wouldn't of had it put on if i did... oh well... when it purples, i'll pull it off and put a better film on. BTW, what is a good really dark at 5% tint that looks black, but lasts for a good while?

if you've never done it before i would say at least get someone who knows what they are doing... a good tint job can make your ride look awesome, but a bad one looks bad and can be a major pain in the @$$, good luck

If you're a handy guy I think you could do it yourself. I just did the front windows of my 04 Supercrew and it turned out pretty well. I ordered from snaptint.com. I would highly recommend them. It only cost me $35 shipped for the front windows and snaptint gives you a lifetime warranty on the film.
I got Solarguard Smoke 20% and it's a darn good match. Looks the same from the outside, from the inside there's a slight difference in color but you'll never get a perfect match. The cool thing about snaptint.com is that they precut it to the exact shape of your window, no trimming required! You do have to tuck it below the rubber seal at the bottom of the window though. Only took me about 45 min for the whole job, glad I didn't pay a shop 4x more to have it done.
Just depends on how comfortable you feel with trying it. I figured it was worth a shot, for $35 if I screwed it up I wouldn't have felt bad about taking it off then going to a shop. I'll try to take some pics this weekend if you're interested. It's going to be nice today and tomorrow so I'm going to detail the Screw!
