I have a 2006 darkstone/tan F-150 XLT with black honeycomb grill. I am considering purchasing a 2004 Fx4 grill (without the surround) from a fellow member.

I just wanted to get several opinions before I OK the deal.... will an '04 Fx4 grill fit inside an '06 XLT surround??

Secondly, how difficult is it to install the grill into a surround, and has anyone had any issues with the clips that attach them?

I have already received good direction from the seller, but want to get multiple opinions before I move forward.

Proceed with caution. The grill will fit your truck, but most of the time the only way to remove the center section is to break/cut the clips that hold it into the surround. Make sure you get GOOD photos of the backside of the center section so you can see the clips.
