I see on Ebay that they finally have a projector headlight that doesn't look janky (as in all kinds of LEDs and weirdo shapes all over it). They don't have amber side reflectors though and they still insist on putting halo's on them, why I cant figure out. Does anyone out there know of anyone that has decent looking projector headlights with amber side reflectors. Also what's the story with adding HID to these things? I read a guide on Ebay that says you cant do it becuase the projector will melt. But HIDs burn cooler than other bulbs. So what gives? Anybody put HID's in aftermarket projectors? how did it work out?

Someone needs to call the commies in Hong Kong and tell them that if they make a grown up looking projector headlight assembly that can take HID's and doesn't have Gaylo's around them that they would sell the crap out of them. I'll keep looking maybe someday they'll get it right.

I was wondering what exactly Projector means. And also will these plug into my stock bulbs? I heard you just have to splice into the turning signal to get the halos to work. Sorry again, and thanks

 

I have a pair of Projector bulbs on my truck. Basically what its all about it makes the lights look like a perfect circle. You do have to cut into the side markers to get the Halos to work. It was not to hard. The only thing that was weird is when I cut into the side markers my flash that occurs when I unlock the truck did not work anymore. The lights work normally just not with the remote. It was odd. I dont reccommend getting any. They look good during the day but at night they are not very bright. The high beam lights are very bright but the normal projector bulbs blow.
