I had seen a mod on here before where a guy put LED lights in his box to provide lighting under the tonneau cover. I loved the idea and have ordered a set of Recon's box lights.



What I'm wondering though is how to control them? Should I just put an illuminated rocker switch near the tailgate, or use some sort of door switch so that they operate automatically? Any suggestions?

 

Sorry I can't tell you something that will work, but I've been wanting to put blue neon inside my bed to light it up also. When I finally get around to it, I was planning on a switchthat would turn them on when I open my tonneau.

 

I was thinking I could use a door switch and place it so that as soon as the tailgate opens it would light up; but I haven't looked close enough to see how I'd be able to route the wiring and keep it neat.

If I can find a suitable location I'll use something like this switch maybe
