projector/halo headlights
projector/halo headlights
i recently purchased projector headlights from ebayfor my ford f-150. they came without instructions and my low beam lights seem to be aimed at the ground i was curious to know if anyone has these similar lights or can anyone help?
Well they need to be adjusted. It's a real pain to do unless you get a special too.
This is the one I found and it works awesome.

First you may have to reinstall the stock lights, that I'd assume are properly adjusted.
Park, on a level surface, approx. 12 inches from a wall with your highbeams on. Mark on the wall the center of each beam.
Then reinstall the aftermarket lights and first parking at the same place 12 inches from the wall. Adjust them to where the other lights hit the wall.
Remember that due to the bulb placement in the aftermarket light they may hit the wall a few inches left or right. You'll have to measure how far off the high beam light is from the stock one.
Then you back up from the wall. I don't recall how far, Someone HELP, but I think it was 10 or 15 feet. Then adjust the beam to hit in the same spot.
That is basically what I had to end up doing and it seems to work fine. On low beam the road is lit up much better, though it doesn't seem to blind oncoming traffic like the stock ones did. And the hight beams really work great. People definatly let me know if I forget to switch them off.
Good luck.
PS Trying to make the adjustments with out the tool is darn near imposible.

I have the projectors too, and mine were aimed way too low. I adjusted them without the tool(yeah im cheap) one at a time(take them out turn the thing put them back in, took me an hour to get it right). Park your truck as far away from a wall(pretty sure owner's manual says 30 feet, but frather is better) as you can and adjust the cut off until it's level or slightly above for your benefit, and you will see every reflector in the road for the next 3 miles without HIDs.
projector lights
