Talking Chrome!!!

I was wondering how many people have those chrome kits (handles, tailgate, tail lights, and fuel doors) What are your experiences and suggestions. What brands are good, Putco? Where did you get them and prices? I also was wondering if anyone has heard of putting on chrome where the two tone pain is on the bottom. My uncle has it and i was wondering if it was a stick-er-on-there deal like the handle covers. Thanks alot.

I've got the Putco brand covers and I've had no issues with them thus far.
I bought them at work, so, I got a good deal on them. I don't care for the chrome trim at the bottom, a little too flashy in my opinion, but it boils down to personal opinion.

I have the chrome handles for 6 months and have no problems with them so far. You will get a lot of opinions about the handles, some will say get the LT handles which I may do at some point but for now I like the chrome.

As far as the lower rocker panel being chrome,I don't care for it, while the LT's come that way I wouldn't go out and add it on, tis just to much for my taste.

To much chrome for me.

I got a chrome fuel door, when I sell this truck for a black truck its getting painted black though. But this fuel door is holding up good & surviving this harsh cold winter and a easy install

I'm not a fan of the stick-ons... I went OEM all the way...

Mirror covers off a Blackwood, door handles (slightly modified) off a Navigator, and acetoned emblems.

I've got the Putco mirror covers, handles all the way around, tailgate cap and side rails. That's about as much chrome as I believe a white truck can handle. I'm not a big fan of the stick on stuff, but I have not had any problems with it so far. If I was willing to spend more money on it, I would go for the LT handles, for sure as well as the LT mirrors.

I will say this, with as far as my tires stick out, I will have to buy new mirror covers this Spring as the winter road sand/salt has chewed the current ones up real good!

As you can tell I've got a fair amount of chrome on mine. It works great and it'll stay on for a long dam time if you put it on right. Make sure it high temperature if you do it outside, but make sure you clean the area well with the wipes and then heat up the area with a blow dryer until it's pretty hot. You'll never have to worry about them falling then.
