my thoughts on my upcoming project.

Well ive been talking about it forever now, but im ready to takle the project. I want to delete my ford emblem out of the front grill. Ive done a couple photoshops including my sig.

anyways i recently thought about putting some of the left over donor grill into the bottom valence. like this:

So do you think i should do the lower valence insert? And if i do it do i paint it black? and should i put a rim/lip around it like the upper? And should i cut out the three vertical bars in the lower valence?

I think doing the lower valance with the honeycomb (black) will look good. How will you mount the insert? I'm not sure how noticable the vertical bars would be if you left them in. I think it would look better with out the bars.

hadnt really thought about how im going to mount it yet. Do you think i should set it pretty far back, or keep it up front? Im thinking push it basically flush with the front of the bars.

and try to make a rim or leave it alone?

Do the lower, paint it black, no rim or lip. Mock it up and see how it looks with the bars behind it. I would prefer to leave them in, if they don't show. Post pics when complete. I'm so gonna do that now. Glad you thought of it.

I would say mount it back a little (similiar to grille) to leave a little lip up front. (flush with bars)

Now that I can see the pics, I have an idea:

Why not put a custom Ford blue oval or custom F-150 badge in the lower left (drivers side) of the grille like the Shelby Mustangs?

Wait a sec....which valence is currently on your truck right now? The one in ur sig or the one in the first picture? The on in the sig looks friggin sweet compared to the first one but all it's lacking is some fog's which I'm guessing if what you guys are talking about.
