I like the look of the HD step bars & the way they are close to the cab. Will they fit on my 06 SC Lariat? How much are they? Thanks

They should fit, as long as you are going from a SCREW to a SCREW or a SCAB to a SCAB. The step bars are different between the different body styles.

 

I have the Westin sport tubes on my 2006 Lariat sCrew. You can find them on just about any web site. I paid around 300 with tax. I did the install my self. I did have to drill extra holes, because the bar hit the fender molding. If you don’t have those, you shouldn’t have to drill any extra holes.

 

Do you use them for a step or are they mainly for looks and bottom protection? I need them to come out away from the cab enough for a step for my short wife.

 

They are merely for looks. Too tucked to do your wife any good, sorry.
