I recently installed VEROX XENON WHITE lights and they melted my headlight connections right where the metal prong is. Do NOT buy these headlights. You will have to buy new plugs from ford and they are like $80 a piece.

Is that just bulbs, like sylvania lighting. Or was it the true HID kit with ballast and igniter. If it is the first one....read the thread title again.

Generally you want have an issue with HID bulbs melting your housing as they run at a lower wattage than the stock bulbs. 35watts as compared to 55 watts. This means lower temps. So proper HID is safer.

Yeah they are just the bulbs. Not an actual HID kit.

HELLO I JUST WANT TO SAY
VEROX H7 HID KIT 8000K HID-H7IS CONVERSION KIT , FOR ME ONE OF THE BEST HID KITS PRODUCED, I HAVE TRIED FEW BRANDS AND ALL FAIL EXEPT FOR THE VEROX HID I HAVE 3 YEARS WITH OUT ANY BULB REPLACED AND I USE MY CAR A LOT SPECIAL AT NIGHT TIME DRIVING FOR ARROUND 8- 12 HOURS CONTINUE USE, TRIPS FROM UTAH TO DENVER DENVER TO VEGAS VEGAS TO CALIFORNIA AND MANY MORE STATES .

I BOUGHT 1 HID CONVERSION KIT H7 12000K MECCATUNE OR MECCA TUNE ON EBAY 2 YEARS AGO AND THE BULBS FAIL EVERY 3 MOTHS I HAVE TO PAY ARROUND $35.00 TO $40.00 EACH TIME THE BULB FAIL TO BE COVER BY A GUARANTEE FROM NEW JERSEY, SELLER WHO REPLACE THE BULS , AND WAS REALLY BAD BUT REALLY BAD THAT I HAVE TO GET AND EXTRA SET OF BULBS ONLY TO REPLACE THE DAMAGE AND I CARRY THEM ALWAYS WITH ME ON MY TRUNK BECAUSE THEY FAIL A LOT, AND I PROFESSIONALY INSTAL THEM I KNOW I IM DOING IT RIGHT .

BY NOW ALREADY REPLACE CLOSE TO 7 BULBS IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS AND RELIZE I HAVE TO GET NEW SET OF HID KIT NOT REPLACE BULBS ANY MORE.
IF YOU LOOKING FOR VEROX HID KITS IS ONLY 1 PLACE ON THE WEB, IM GETTING NEW SET THIS WEEK THEY COST ARROUND $350.00 BUT THEY WHORTH THE MONEY IF ANY INTERESTED WILL SHARE THE WEB SOO YOU CAN GET ONES TOO

THERE IS ONLY 1 LITTLE PROBLEM IF YOU REALLY WANT THEM TO WORK 100% I highly recomend to you that you build a custom wiring harness to power the lights; as the initial current draw as those lights fire (over time) will cause you to have electrical gremlins.

AND THATS THE ONLY LITTLE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH MY KIT BUT I WILL DO THE CUSTOM WIRING TO POWER MY LIGHTS AND ONLY COST ARROUND $25-$100 depending on how fancy you want to get.

heres my 2 cents,

now that HIDS are more common, the reliablility of the 'aftermarket' kits that you find on eBay are getting better with their dependablity and quality. I recently purchased a kit, the cheapest one that included shipping mind you, and installed that and they work great. Of course this was for my lexus es300. I am however currently running a set of HID that I got for my b-day from XenonDepot.com. They use genuine Philips products (ballast, ignitors and rebased bulbs). However I had to purchase seperately from eBay again a pair of Bi-xenon HID bulbs that can move up and down for the low and high beams. I admit they work fine and look just like OEM.

For both kits in my vehicles, I made custom wiring harness with relays. it was easy to make and definitly dependable.

If some of you would like me to make a harness for you, let me know. We could work something out.

Although they're hard to find these days, I highly recommend looking into Sylvania'a Xenarc system for 97-03 F-150's. I realize some of the people on this thread have 2004+ trucks, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. The Xenarc system has been discontinued, but you may be able to find some stragglers on ebay. I have a set on my truck, so check out my gallery for some pics. It seems to me that all of the HID websites retain the factory headlight housings. With an HID light installed, I can't imagine the light pattern being very good. Just my .02.

Wine-O,

What exactly are the projectors used for in the Depo light set-up?
What are the cut-off lines like?
When do the projectors come on? Low beams or High beams?
How do you like the revised beam pattern?
Could you maybe please post some pics at night with them on?

Thank you in advance for your reply, I've been doing my own research and I've found conflicting answers on how the depo projectors work, wether it be a high beam or a seperately wired fog lamp. I'm curious as to how they work, as I plan to buy HID Bi-xenon bulbs to go in them.

the cool thing about the depo setup is it comes with a premade wiring harness with relays that plugs into your existing headlight harness ...what happens is when you turn your lights on...you regular lights come on....and when you hit the high beams the projectors come on both lights stay on....the beam pattern is amazing....the bulbs for the projectors are 9005's so it comes out a bright but ugly yellowish color...but the quality of the over all lamp system is wonderfull so adding HID's would be the way to go..the glass refractor in the projector is thick not a fake piece of plastic you can see the prizm colors when you look at it just like the high end cars...im putting led healamp bulbs in my projectors right now till i can afford to buy an hid kit amazing new technology....also if i was gonna have hids in stalled...I would have a custom harnes made because that means you would be running 3 wiring harnesses at once....1 the stock harness...2 the depo harness and 3 the hid harness....thats way to many...whatever you decide to do....
....i'll send pics of what the look like at night

Wine-O,

Where are you, I thought you said you were going to post some pics with the lights beam pattern at night on low, high only, and flash to pass. Please post some pics, it would greatly appreciated, and when I get my set-up finished I'll post some pics, I have some interesting ideas on how I can wire those projectors and some bixenons for some cool features.

Thanks,
Andrew
