Projector Headlights

I want to buy the projector headlights for my SCREW on Ebay, but I really want HID's. Does anyone know if you can upgrade the projector light bulb (H1) to HID?????

I've got a set that are really close to those----do not have LEDs on top, but are dual halo projectors----they look really good. Mine said they were not HID compatable though.......

I asked the seller on ebay about upgrading those lights to HID and they said "NO" the bulbs for HID are longer and make them too close to the projector and they melt.

I have not had a chance to install them yet. I am hoping I have some time this weekend.

Those are very simular to what I have on my 01 SCAB. The instructions did say that HIDs will not work in them. I assume because of the heat.

I had some xeon bulbs in my projector head lights and within about 8-10 months, it melted my wiring harnesses for both sides... not fun. Had to splice in a new harness. Be carefull...
