Yeah I just sent him your pix, he should get back to me in a few. I guess that's what happens when we assume, I don't blame him I'd have figured they would fit too.

BTW, I just took a bunch of pix after I finished my mods, the only thing left is these bars.

UPDATE:

I guess i did something wrong. My buckets fell off the truck. The rear two were completely loose after driving to a shop last night. I am so glad they did not fall off! The front two were starting to come undone at the bottom and i pried them off this morning. The 3m adhesive is still sticky...so it must have been a crappy *** clean job by myself. I am going to wait for some warmer weather and then use heat and some super glue to stick them onto a very well cleaned surfeace.

PS - the rear held up fine.

Ouch, that sucks! How did you clean them? I did nothing special to mine just wet rag and then dry. Not sure if it is the cold weather up there or not? Good luck!

I have the same handles you do. I got them off E-bay about 7 months ago. Mine came loose also. I could never get them to stick correctly so I siliconed them in place. They are tight and have not moved since. Try that first. I also installed a set for my buddy. They were TRQ also. His did not stick either. Silicone again and no problems. It was just the buckets that came loose also.

Should i remove the 3M tape first or not? I figure now that they are off I am going to put some NXT Xtreme wax on them, should look good.

I left mine in place. I just added a bead of silicone all the way around the handle and stuck it back on. Let it sit overnight before you drive to let the silicone set. Be careful that you don't get too much or it will squeeze out from behind the handle. If this does happen then let it dry and trim off the day after. You will be able to carefully cut along the edge of the door handle and then roll the excess right off the paint. I wouldn't waste my time waxing them before application. You're gonna get finger prints all over them anyway. Clean them after you are done. Mine haven't moved.

Thanks! Does the silicone sealer really provide good adhesion?

Yes. You will not have to worry about them falling off. I have been through pressure washers and they didn't budge! We have extreme temps down here in the summer and no problems at all!

Ok thanks. I think it was the pressure washer that blew the last ones off lol.

The silicone shoud be able to withstand the -20 celcius temps here without cracking hopefully. Thanks for the help.

Crash, FYI I had to send back my steps even though he was able to find the right brackets. The holes do not line up on the new bars. The guy was cool and gave me a full refund but now I have to find new bars.

thanks again for the pix, it saved him and me a bunch of time shipping back and forth.
