I just had all of my windows done on my truck. The truck came factory 20% (about) on the rear pass. and rear windows. I used all ceramic tint to keep the heat out. Kept it legal on the front two windows at 35%. Stacked 28% on top of the factory tint all around the back and had the front windshield done 80%. I do not care for a tinted front windshield but 80% was alright. Here in Hawaii where it's always warm, the ceramic tint helps keep me cool.

Some shops that do ceramic or vcool tint will have a display with a heat lamp set up behind different tints. You can really feel the different degrees of heat that pass through different tints.

Ceramic tint was 70 per front window, 220 for the windshield and 190 around the back.

Window tint on the winshield is illegal in all 50 states as an obstruction of view. Tint percentages vary in other states, which was ruled unconstitutional by the supreme court. The states then reinstated all different laws again and now if you got a ticket, you could fight it the same way. For instance, FL allows 20% tint on the front two windows, while GA only allows 32% If a FL driver comes through GA, he could get a ticket for violating GA law even though his tint is legal in FL. This is where the unconstitionality comes into play. Its really ignorant on the part of the states. Its just a matter of time before the law is repealed again

State Tint Laws...

I just noticed that there was some disagreement with some of the state tinting laws and thought I'd throw this link out there because it will tell you any state's tinting laws. Some people may already know, but it might help somebody...
