I saw a set of chrome plated stainless steel door handle covers at f150store.com. Has any one had any expierence with them?? How do they fit and compare with the putcos? Any info would be apprieciated. Thanks

 

i got the same question, and are you talking about the vynal overlays? not the real chrome steel ones?

 

I have the chrome (not plastic) overlays which are adhrered with a 3M tape/adhesive, and they look fantastic. Make sure you clean the originals with acetone, or the provided alcohol cleaning pads very well, and apply even force when pushing them on.

Mine are not the Putco brand, but I have heard they make one of the better plastic/chrome look handles.

I do have the Chrome overlays from Putco and really like them. . .

I just got the handle overlay and not the entire surround though . . .

Went on easy. . took about 15 minutes including cleaning.

You can see them on my truck in my gallery. . . not a close up by any means but they look GREAT!!

I have them on my truck and love them. they don't come off being bulky like the plastic ones, and match my crome bumpers very well.

I'm not a fan of the stick-on overlays. I went the OEM route and replaced them with a set off a Navigator:
