2.5in vs 2in leveling kit

I have heard the 2.5in leveling kit is only for heavy grille guards on the front end. I would like to get as much clearance as well as a nice level. Any suggestions?

I would recommend the 2", unless doing a brush guard or an add-a-leaf or the like to raise the rear. Otherwise, anytime you put anything in the back, you will be nose up. Also, the more you raise the front, the greater suspension angle which may affect wear and tear and your ride. I have the 2.5" level kit, but when I replace with adjustable coilovers, I will only go 2" max.

Wait for more than one opinion before you make an educated decision. Welcome to our board by the way. I have the 2 1/2" kit on my truck as well. I am 1/2" lower in the front than in the rear. I pull an 18" tandem axle trailer loaded with (4) 600+ pd atv's and the bed full of 50# bags of deercorn and still my nose is not up in the air as the previous post replied. I have friends at ford and thae have told me and everyone else that either a 2 or 2 1/2 leveler does not....I repeat DOES NOT in any way change the stock ride or accellerate wear on any front end parts...as long as you have a proper allignment done after the install. Now mine is a 4x4 so I cant speak of anything but 4x4;s. Hope that may have helped. Hang around awhile....youll here more of the same!
P.S. repost this question in the suspension forum and may get more info back.

Either one will make the truck look a lot better. I have the 2'' and love it.

I have to 2.5 level kit and wouldn't consider using the 2. My truck has 35x12.50x17 and just barely clears. The tire will rub at full wheel turn. Just barely even touches
