I have an oxford white Bugflector II. It is molded from a white plastic (not painted)and the color match is perfect. It blends in so well with color and the lines of the truck, it easily goes unnoticed.
I saw a smoked Lund shield in the parking lot the other day and it had weathered terribly. Hopefully mine will not.

Inspektor, where did you get your Oxford white bug flector, at a local parts store or mail order?
Thanks, Dogcam

Inspektor: Since we don't have Truck-n-Stuff here in New England could you tell me what brand your deflector is? I will assume the part number is the manufacturers and not Truck-n-Stuff's. Thanks ennis

I purchased mine at the local Pep Boys and the first one I ordered came painted on rear Oxford White but it was cracked and they ordered another and it came with Oxford White film on back. Looks nice and has held up well with just the tape to mount and is far enough from hood that rubber bumpers were not even needed.

Angry

I used the rubber bumpers on the body, but the Bug II destroyed them (cut them in half where it already chipped the paint off.) I took it back to the dealer and they "heated"
the shield and bent it back more, but I still have to slam the hood.

Exclamation

I'd be careful about installing the bump stops directly on the painted surface. On my '97 (White Oxford Clear Coat) the adhesive on the back of the bump stops ate right through the clear coat after a period of time. This does not cause a problem, unless you want to remove the shield or utilize another type of shield. You will end up with little round "dots" in the clear coat. I have an EGR SuperGuard on my 2000 F150 and it works great plus you don't have to mess around installing any of the bump stops. The EGR is also a "no drill" installation.
