Nice truck Fasternu! I have always loved the AAD hood. They have a nice web page at www.americanautodesigns.com.
Mine is a Keystone Good Hood with functional airdam kit ($99 option) that I am waiting to install until the warrenty expires.
I think that all hoods add a distinct charecter to the truck that no other mod can match. Which one is just a matter of preference. Sometimes when I look at mine, it reminds me of "monkey nostrils"! LOL

Thanks NoLimits. People really seem to notice the truck alot more since I added the hood about a month ago. Do you have any more pics of your truck? It's a little hard to see everything you have on it.

Question

I have some questions for those of you who have after market hoods.

What did you do with your old hood?

Did you sell it?

If so how much did you get for it?

Thank you

2001f-150sport, go arounf body shop were their repair late model cars and ask around, usually the owner will be willing to buy the hood from you so he can sell it to someone with a crashed truck. just my 00.02 cents

I have the AAD cobra hood also. Its been on 2 trucks since 1998 with no problems at all. Keep your old hood, if you ever go to trade your truck in put the stock one back on, the dealer wont give you anymore money for it. I kept mine when I traded the 98 in on a mustang, then put it right back on the 01 Screw first day it was home, trucks were the same color and it matched perfectly from the last truck.. saved some major cash there..

Geeky,

Naw, I'll leave them open. The extra air can't hurt. Plus, I'm waiting for Cervini's to finish their ram air kit. But until then I'll leave them open. Anyway, with the Gen. II & the K&N showing. It looks cool. A little bit of water won't hurt. I think.

Now all you have to do is decide which one! It was almost as hard as deciding which model of F150. LOL

I also like the hood in the color used by Keystone's demo truck.........

NoLimits, that hood does look good on your truck. Very nice setup you have going. I did see that hood once on a Lightning and thought it was ugly. It goes very nicely with the rest of your mods.

Thanks Fastrnu, I had wanted the lighning engine, the HD F150 interior, and the 4x4 off road package on an extended cab flareside, but the Ford Motor Co wouldn't work with me. I said that I would accept the v-10, but they wouldn't do that either! The dealer worked with a local shop and built this Lariat truck for me. I am pleased with the compromise, although I wish I was fasternu. LOL

Sigmanu, have you picked a hood yet? They are all real similar in price, it just depends on which one you like.
