He's right, the HD grill is made out of chromed plastic. Wish I had a '99-01 Effie so I wouldn't have to worry about salt on my billet grill. I do think it looks great, though.

It will, only if you replace the whole front end. Notice on the newer Effies that the grill drops lower on the bottom of the grill. If you do change, get the HD Screw grill, the whole grill is chrome, including the grill surround. Good luck.
