Angry P.O.S. GTS Omni-Guard Bug Deflector!!!

Well, I picked up a GTS Omni-Gaurd bug deflector from Summit Racing for $60.00 shipped. And then had another $85.00 to have it painted on both sides.
Well today, I installed it and everything lined up perfectly. When I closed the hood for about the 5th time. SNAP!! This piece of ***** broke in two pieces.
I called GTS and complained and they told me I installed it incorrectly. Give me a break! I will NEVER buy another piece of crap from GTS again.
Anyone else ever have this happen?

jupiterak,
i had the exact same problem about 4 years ago on a different truck. i bought the carbon fiber gts and it broke within a week. i called and received the same response. no worries, i scrapped the crap, and have had the bugflector brand since then and have had great luck for about 1/2 the price. later, Rich.

Me, too!! But at least mine lasted a month. I scrapped it for
a Lund Lo- Profile. While I don't think I'm moving a whole lot of bugs, it looks good and has saved my hood from a at least one
alligator that was kicked up from the highway. The Lund took the brunt of the hit, got a little scrape and didn't break, but slowed the durn thing enough that I could remove the rubber scrape from my paint with little effort and NO remaining scratches (WHEW!).
