Nice truck. I like the lightning rear lights and the clear corners. The dual exhaust looks great too. Just on thing - take that damn SVT logo off the back. Just doesnt look right.

Otherwise, nice truck, cant complain even though im partial to stylesides!

I like my SVT badge. It's always strikes up conversation.

"Is that some sort of new SVT project or something?" "No dumba$$!!, it's $15 from Ford, and I like it".

I will never put "Lightning" badges on it though.

Lariat,

Looks great! I especially like the darker charcoal instead of the light bottom panels. Ford should take note of that color scheme.

The truck looks great, but that IS a Lightning badge. Same reason I didn't put a L bumper on mine. Respect to the King. lol.

I don't see why people get their panties in a wad every time they see something off a Lightning on another truck. Don't take it personal people. Lightnings are great, just not very practical for some people who are needing the supercab and/or 4X4. Don't get pissed off that other trucks have the same badges or lights as your, just be glad you have a truck people want their's to look like.

I like the mods lariat.

EXACTLY!!! Thank you.
Lightning owners should be flattered that others want their trucks to look like theirs. Not everyone can have a Lightning, or like you said, it's just not practical.
Do what you want, within reason.

Whoa whoa, easy guys. I can only speak for myself, and im not po'ed about it! lol. Just saying that IMO its kinda goofy to put different badges on a truck where they shouldnt belong. I don't dare put a Triton V8 on mine. (Although it's a free country and I would if I darn well please.) Opinions are like.... p.s. Your truck does look great.

I've been meaning to ask you to do some before and after pics! Nice! What's the best way to get those stickers/pin stripes off?

* 2000 F-150 XLT Black FS; 5.4L; 4x4 ORP
* Da Flip Chip! * 3.55 Limited Slip * Stepups
* Sliding Rear Window * 6-Way Power Seat
* Remote Keyless Entry
* Lund Trident Bug Shield * Custom Exhaust
* Fumoto Oil Drain Plug Valve (a must for do-it-yourselfers!)
* Wise Bedrug

So many mods, so little cash! On the up side, no wife to create a filibuster.

Let it either sit in the sun for an hour or so (if it's over 70 degrees) or use a hair blow dryer to heat up the decals and peel them right off. Took about 30 minutes to get all of them off, and after about 5 or 6 good wax jobs, the outlines of the decals will be almost gone. I am putting charcoal ORP and Lariat decals on, and looking for a good stripe to use on the lower portion that can bring the 2 colors together without taking away from the scheme. I don't do "ugly" mods...IMO.

I think the truck looks a lot better, I like the darker lower paint and the lights they sure do get a lot of attention. It's your truck and if you like the SVT badge on it thats ok with me, I know I will catch some flack from the "L" guys for this. HEHE

Hey just enjoy it and do what you want.
