Lightbulb

I put a 4WD lower bumper (valence) on my 2WD. No fog lights, just the tow hook cutouts. I found it on ebay for around $40+ ship. You may be able to find one cheaper. There is a rubber thing underneath that may need to be modified to get it correct though. Hope this helps.

You probably haven't seen the 2001 Lightning Headlights and corners. They are very different, and look very good.

supersonic491,

Regarding the difference between the stock and Lightning headlights, I figured that a picture is worth a thousand words so I provided both below. The stock headlight in the one on my truck (sigh!) and the Lightning lamp is a picture I borrowed from BigMac (hope that's ok... ).

Mine:

Not Mine (but wish they were):

Thanks for the compliment! The beige truck is mine, and I wish the L below it was too The airdam is from Stillen,I think it's actually made by Xenon, but I'm not too sure about that. It cost $180,and the paint cost $85. I had a hell of a time finding a airdam without a slot cut out in the middle,,,,,,98

One more question 98......

I've decided to go with that Stillen valance (should their site EVER say anything but "our database is being updated").

The dual holes on each side.......do they provide a place for mounting something like PIAA foglights?

I just thought i would drop by and tell yall that the new rangers have the same style headlights.Saw them at the dealer yesterday.Looks like ford is moving that way. Maybe a standard feature in 2002 f150s who knows? At any rate they are much cooler than the stock ones.

You are different here if you leave your stock lights in!!! Everybody and their brother have went to the clear lamps. It is more unusual to see the stock ones on cars(trucks too) than to see the clear ones.

Yep,they are made to put lights in. The PIAA's
that fit the airdam are the #1000 model ovals. They are kind of high dollar for me,@$180 a pair,so I am going with some autopart store specials . To me they were really just an appearance item anyway. no flames, please Your on your own for the actual mounting, because they are just holes with a 4" skirt going back towards the rear. (No mounting spot )

Wink

Yeh, I spent the last 3
years restoring a few
basket cases to make up
for the ones I trashed during the '70's. Now there is a hole
in my garage where all
the money goes.
Er-uh oval.
Love every dollar spent though. lol

I agree the L lights look sweet, but everyone was changing over to full clear lenses.
Even going as far as using clear bulbs instead of ambers. What happened? Was this just a fad? The L lights still have amber lenses!? Is this a "follow big brother" thing? Whatever the L does I will do too. I suppose the legality issues make this an easier way to go and compromise slightly on the amber lens.
The light conversion will be a mod some day on my truck. I don't know which way I'll go until the time comes.

Just curious,
