Post got my westin's help!!!!

just to save me another headache like the one I just got trying to find where to bolt on the face plates .. can someone help me out?

I can't figure out where the hell the bolts go through.. I found the rubber pieces on the body, they come off easy, but how the heck do you get the bolt through the body?? There's no holes going through ther whole thing!!

any help would be apreciated

Hey patrickjp,
I'm asuming they are the silver colored plates with the threads sticking out?
The trick is to put one of the bolt threads into the hole first, kind of like carrying a table through a doorway. Then just drop the whole plate inside. grab one of the threads and pull the plate up against the rocker panel from the inside with the threads sticking out the hole. The next trick is to put the BAR mounting bracket up onto the threads without it falling back into the rocker box It takes a little cursing, and finesse, but once you get it it's pretty quick to do the rest. I do feel for you,the instructions bite, huh? Good luck,,,,,98

I think I know what you're talkin about. If I'm right take a thin piece of wire and wrap it around one of the studs and use that to hold the plate in place while you bolt the other side into place. when you have the one side held up you can pull the wire out and bolt up the other stud. Easy huh.

Yea, the instructions suck. It took me longer to figure out where to put the mounting brackets than to actually install them.
