Just installed my 2001 Lightning tails this weekend. Took all of 2 minutes. Although, I felt I should warn all that are considering this....be sure to use washers or shorter bolts on lower holes to avoid poking through the chrome part inside the light. The OEM bolts are a tad too long. Mine look ok though. Can't hardly tell. Just a heads up for the rest of you though.

Cool

Yea I know that fitting the lights to the 2000 would be easy but what about the 99, becuase the 99 has 3 lights and the 2000/2001 has only 2 lights? Has anyone tried to fit the rear to a 99?

Just go to the auto parts store, buy 2 more sockets and bulbs. splice them in, and your good. $15 later, you're good.

Question

Why would you have to splice in new sockets when the '97-'99 have 2 red and 1 backup clear, and the 2001 have only 1 red and 1 clear? I would think I socket would not be used.

Just don't use one of the sockets...oops.
