Question

Can anyone please tell me how easy or hard it is to put in the '01 Lightning HEADLIGHTS and CORNERS on a '98? Does something need to be modified? Or is it just a somple remove and replace thing? Has anyone replaced theirs yet? I want to buy them as soon as possible but I want to be SURE they'll fit.
Thanks

FamilyRide - these prices are per piece - not set. Total set up would be aobut $315 plus shipping.

Cool

I think they would be the same, except for the early 97's. If the L corner doesn't fit,you could always use the crystal eyes corner with the L headlights. They would go together well enough to look good.(IMO) I just like the L headlights better than the CE's,they just have more style. Once again(IMO) ,,,,98

Called the dealer and ordered the 01L headlights Tuesday. Should be here NTL Monday. I won the euro clear corners on ebay. My build date is 6/96 so I know the corners wouldn't fit.

Hey King James! Please post if your dealer is able to get them for you by Monday! What price did you get? Were you able to beat the $84.19 at fordpartsonline? Gary told me that they have ordered extras if anyone else wants.

I ordered the headlights and corners. Also ordered just one rear to look it over and check fitment before I commit to both rears. At first glance the rears look cool and I think they will look good on a black truck, just want to see them in person on the truck to be sure. Got them from Padre Ford in Corpus Christi Texas. I have the price stuff at my office but the numbers discussed above sound like it. Take care,

Just took a look at the 01 Lighting at a dealer. All I can say is wow- whata truck. The detail is amazing. SVT writing on the headlight bulbs- Nice touch. LED third brake light-awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on a set of lights for my 2000, to bad I have the styleside, have to miss out on the taillights.

Don't you have the Altezza's that are out for the styleside? Those look sweet! I have gotten nothing but postive comments about them on my silver XLT. They look cool, believe me.

I seen a pic or two of the headlamps in this forum, but I think these might be a little better. Check them out. You know what to do if they don't come out as a hyperlink (just cut and paste)

And if somebody knows how to post pics, feel free to copy them off of my site and place them in the forum for everyone to see without hyperlinking, thanks

BY FAR THE BEST PIC:

Question

They look cool! Do they perform better then the regular headlights? i.e. better light pattern from the standard light bulb???

Cool

Hey sigalph,

Well, probably, when I put the euro tails on,the light output of the backup lights doubled! With the stock bulbs. I think it's due to the clear, rather than fluted, outer lenses,,,,98
