Owners manual says part number is an 899. I've heard of 9006, 9006x and even 9005 fitting. Has anyone changed out their driving light bulbs and what bulb fits?

I think the OEM 899 is a 55w but I'd like to use a 65w Xenon Superwhite after seeing how the 9007 80/100's compare to OEM 9007 55/65w. They don't seem to produce any more heat than the OEM halogens.

After my Autolamp and parking/Driving light switch mod, I really want the Sperwhites for the driving lights to match.

I went with the 9005 Superwhites in my SCrew. The only mod that had to be done was shaving a little bit of the plastic flange and the bulb plugs right up. It looks great and produces enough light to run them solo at dusk(I did the headlight switch mod).

I thought I read that in another post. I think the 9006 and 9005 are the same base so I know I can go with one or the other. I pulled the bulbs and they are actually 9145's. I was curious when jmartinb said that's what he used.

I bought new H7's for my wifes Volvo that were the same 55w as OEM, but, they are sooo much brighter and so white I was amazed. Now I'm doing the high's and driving lights on it.

I did the 9007's 80/100 on my Expy but I'm surprised at how much "not any brighter" they are than the stock 55/65's. It may be the brand. The H7's I got are Eurolites, off eBay.
