Question PIAA airdam installation question

Question regarding the parts you get for the PIAA airdam. Does it include mounting brackets for both sets of lights? How do they mount? I like the PIAA lights, but may look at Hella's or others to save some $$...Would the light mounting brackets allow for installation of lights other than PIAA? Any help would be appreciated!
Thx.

well the brackets included are designed for the PIAA lights, but you might be able to make others fit. I'd think they would fit no problem you might just need a few spacer washers or something to fit the lights correctly in the hole.

I installed 6 inch KC Daylighters in the outboard holes. No problems but the mounting bracket needed to be drilled out to fit the bigger mounting stud on the KCs.

A question though....the PIAA has no provision for mounting of the rubber splash guard. Anyone who has installed this know of a way to reinstall it? I don't like looking thru the front of my airdam and seeing all the steering components.

blk, I have submitted that exact problem to PIAA and I'm told there working on redesigning it. For mine i just drilled two holes to match the holes in the splashguard and put some bolts that were about 3/4" long in there. You don't see them when looking at the truck or really when looking through the holes in the airdam... unless your looking for them.

Thanks Matt, I had figured this was the only route to go, but I wanted to get some more input before taking the drill to my new airdam. I think I can drill so that my inboard lights will cover the top of the bolts and they won't be seen. Thanks again!
