I was wanting to change the appearance of my 2003 F150 Flareside to look more like a lightning. But i realized if i remove the stock "F150" emblems i will have the three holes in my truck. I know that the Lightning emblems come with pins, but i doubt they will fit the same holes, so i figured i could break off the pins, but i dont know if it will cover the holes. Has anyone done this to their truck before? And does it cover the holes? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

 

If you want your truck to look more like a Lightning, go for it. BUT don't badge it as one.

 

I replaced the rear emblem on the tailgate with the SVT emblem and it fit perfectly. Sorry, I don't know about the ones on the front fender.

 

They both use the exact same fenders and tailgates, holes and all.

 

I'm with smaug, badging a truck to pass it off as something it isn't is weak. If you want a Lightning buy a Lightning, if you want to customize, be original.
Kind of cheapens the deal for real Lighning owners. Sorry, but that's my comment...

 

I have to agree, if it aint a lightning, dont be a wannabe.

Customize your own like this or buy custom emblems. The first time someone sees the lightning emblems and says lets see the SC, they will be laughing their buts off when you say it doesnt have one.
