Question Bug deflectors?

Does any one have a BetterBuilt Stainless Steel bug deflector? If so could I see a picture of it and if you like it or not. I'm thinking about buying one, but I'm not sure if it would look right on my 99 black/silver F-150. My second choice is the Lund Trident.

Hey Deacon!

I've got the Lund Trident and I love it. Nice and solid, and it's molded specifically for the F-150. No bugs have made it to my windshield. However, with it being January, that claim may hold as much credence as a Bill Clinton farewell speech!

* 4x4 ORP
* 3.55 Limited Slip
* Stepups
* Sliding Rear Window
* 6-Way Power Seat
* Remote Keyless Entry
* Lund Trident Bug Shield
* Custom Exhaust
* Fumoto Oil Drain Plug Valve (a must for do-it-yourselfers!)
* Wise Bedrug

So many mods, so little cash! On the up side, no wife to create a filibuster.

Hey ragarm,

Is the Lund Trident off the hood? I don't want anything touching the hood that's for sure. I'm probably going to settle with the Lund Trident. Due to the lack of response from this post it seems that not too many people have the BetterBuilt Stainless. But then again my truck will look rather unique if I get it. So we'll see.

I better go there concerning our former President.

Deke! The Trident does not touch the hood (other than where it attaches with the brackets). Makes for easy appearance maintenance.

I really like mine, but as I said, no bugs to speak of around here yet this year!

I have a Bugfletor2 and it doesn't touch the front of the hood and and it screws on with hole from the factory.

Question

GIJoeCam,

I'm unfamiliar with the term "trident stainless". I only know of the Betterbuilt stainless. Is this something different or does the Lund Trident come in stainless as well as smoke and clear?

I decided to get the Lund Trident from www.carparts.com. Carparts had it for $68.85, so with their lowest price guarantee (www.truckperformance.com was $64.95) it turned out to be $58.45 plus shipping. Thanks for your input guys!
