Cool

I have been looking into doing something with mine also. I like the look of the lightning bumper, and it appears that the cheapest place to get one is from a Ford dealer. It is about $100 cheaper from them then it is to get one from most aftermarket companies. My .02.

I like this one. I think it runs around $600.00 and add another $100 or so for shipping. What does the Lightning bumper cost from the Ford dealer?

Thanks,
Melissa

I was quoted $295 for just the bumper, unpainted. I haven't checked the prices for the brackets that hold it on yet, or the fog lights.

DUH! I'm an idiot. Not $600 - I was thinking about the hood price. Actually, these valances run about $300. SORRY!

Question

I went to the site that you mentioned, and I only saw one for the 97-98 models. You have a 2000, correct? Am I missing something?

Yeah, you're right. I can't seem to find one similar for 99 and up. It seems that a lot of parts I look for, online or in magazines, are sort of stuck at 1998. I wish they'd update.

Thanks for pointing that out,
Melissa

Check out topic: Replacement air dam / lower valance https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000864.html and Mattbert's: Got my PIAA airdam and light installed.

There is also a replacement valance from Truck Master with rectangular lights someone at this site has one or you can see it @ Stylin' concepts web site, lots of great ideas out there.

I like the lower valance on the new Harley Davidson F-150.

I think I will call the dealer and get a price on it, it can't be too expensive can it??

It looks to bolt on exactly as the stock lower valance does.
