this is the same as the 97-98 models with the reverse light in the middle. just seems like the reverse light would shine red.

Cool

Dont know why you couldnt just put the back up light in the top hole and the brake light in the middle hole then. viola.

It won't work with a late 00 or 01 because they changed over to a 2-bulb setup anyways. I talked to the service desk at APC about a month ago, and they were planning on having a set for the 2-bulb setup before Christmas... don't know if they're successful yet or not... been busy with school and stuff...

JRock,
I don't like it either and am greatly dissappointed. I asked an aftermarket shop to get some of those lenses so I could see them in person but I doubt I'll buy them.
I wish someone could custom make them the way I want them to be.
Can I put the reverse bulb on the bottom and make the middle bulb the brake light and the top light come on only for taillight?

ponysix8~
hey, i'd have to take a look at my lights again, but you should be able to put them in there the way you want. i kinda want to leave mine in the stock location, because i did the little mod where both lights flash. i had the all clear ones on order, but decided they would look too illegal on my all white truck, so i canceled the order. Guess i'll just have to be satisfied for the time being, I'm sure i can find something else to spend my money on.

jrock,
a TX guy w/ a silver flareside at the TX Heatwave show had the illegal clear tail lenses. they looked great on his truck. he said that he has already been busted with them and now only uses them at the shows.

The clear/red lights I ordered for my F-250 were the same way. Since I had mounted my own back-up lights in the rear bumper I had no need for the backup light in the lense anyway. What I did was rewired the back-up lights to be a signal/brake lights instead. Here are a few pictures of the lights. The 3rd photo shows what it looked like when the brakes or signal is used.

I am selling these lights because I bought Altezza's. If anyone is interested in buying them drop me a line at truckin4@home.com. I also have the red bulbs brand new in the pack to go with them. The black painted covers can be sold with the lights or seperatly if anyone wants those too. Here is a picture of my new lights:
