2005-05 F150 Trailer Tow mirrors

Just went by my local Ford dealer today and I found out the new F150 now has the extendable trailer tow mirrors avaible from Ford. According to the dealer they are about $625 installed with clearance lights, heated and turn signals. Wow!

**** mirrors for F150 ('04) (???)

I conacted the folks at RPM Innovations (link was in another message: http://www.rpminnovations.com/ford_towing.htm ).

Their website indicates that the **** custom mirror will not fit the F150 XLT. Called and s/w a representative. Explained that I have a power mirror (can adjust position of the mirror glass itself from inside the vehicle, NOT the new power mirror that the 2005 King Ranch offers). I don't have the direction signal in the mirror. He contacted **** and they advise that this mirror (part no. 11801/11802) will not fit the F150 in my case.

Also, looked at Cabela's website, they carry the **** custom mirrors but their site indicates that the **** will not fit manual mirrors.

Help!

Has anyone ordered these who has a F150 with plain side mirrors (no built in turn signal).

Thanks!

Mark

Thumbs up I changed mine!

I changed my stock mirrors to Schefenacker's. They have a plane manual extension mirror up to a heated/turn signal/motor operated one. Mine is the plane jane. Not cheapest but very good quality and VERY easy to change to.

See pix of my truck in my photo gallery. See here for product information... http://www.ttt-mirror.com

Really great for towing and they don't rattle or shake like most add-ons. Its not hard to pull off your door panel. Then you have access to the mounting bolts on the mirrors. New ones come with new outside seals. A good product!

Did you check Fordpartsonline.com, or Fordpartsnetwork.com? They usually sell way below what dealers charge. No reason why you can't install them yourself...should be simple
