Bug Deflector etc......
Just picked up a 1998 XLT SC 4.6L and I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a good affordable alarm and a good remote starter. Also looking for recommendations on a bugshield, bed matt, nerfs, and toolbox etc... - need to make my new baby happy.

Well I can't help ya with the remote starter or the alarm. But I can tell you that the best bugdeflectors you can buy is Lund. Check out their website....www.lundlook.com
Bed- YOu might want to try one of the spray on's. They are the best.
Can't really help you with anything else. Hope that helps a little.

I just put on a Lund Trident Bug Deflector, It looks sleek and is a hell of a lot sturdier that some of the other deflectors out there. Not bad price either. $69.99

Ok, here goes..
Lund X-terminator bug shield (goes with body lines)
Westin nerf bars (look the best, use factory frame holes, no drilling)
Pendaliner bed liner (bed mats suck)
Viper alarm (can add any option you want, pw, pdl, ign, etc.)
I am working on a steel skeleton/fiberglass exterior paint-to-match tool box design. I am selling the idea to Lund first of the year. Have been working on it for years. Hard to make it open correctly. Just figured it out. A little pricy right now since it's a prototype. $399 unpainted.
