Post Front Valance

Can anyone help me, can't decide and or find a front bumper cover that I like except for Lightning, But I have a 98 grille that is flat, does anyone now where I can get a good looking front valance, or even the lightning, I think the Harley Truck has the same front end (except billet grille) as the lightning, I would like to have the Harley front end on my truck, Help.........

The Harley front end is not a bumper cover it is two pieces(or at least the three that i have seen around here were) You might try a roush bumper cover if you like that style.

the Harley bumper has the same contour curve as the L.
I have a 97 and I'm looking for a bumper cover I like. I don't care much for the Roush bumper cover but I found one I like in the Choo Choo Customs ad in Truckin' mag.
there is also a bumper cover that looks like the stock 4X4 bumper but the fog light openings are filled in except for a small oval light and the bumper is painted. but I don't have that mag w/ me to give you more info.

I don't have the dec 00 issue.
okay, got the april 00 in front of me right now. advitiser's 'action motoring accessories' and 'us auto parts network' (priced at $149.95) show a painted stock looking bumper with tiny lights in them. and I just found the volant air intake ad has a painted stock bumper with bigger round lights in it. I don't believe these bumper covers have a molded air dam.
find the choo choo customs ad, I like the bumper cover on the red supercab. so far its been a headache to get in contact with these people. I got a hold of them earlier today and I described it to him and he said he would call me back - he never did.
in one of these mags I own (apparently not one that is with me) they did a "Truck Stuff" column on the painted bumper w/ partial filled inserts and small lights (think they call it a teardrop design).

look at the ads carefully. the trucks with these bumpers usually only price the billet grille. there is also an advertiser index in the back of the mag.

oh yeah, Keystone Restyling has a couple of bumper covers, I know on of them has a molded air dam which is where the lights are. www.keystonerestyling.com
and roush - www.pegasuscustom.com/roushf150.htm
(this is only a link to a dealer with pics but do not buy from this particular business - not the greatest people).
hope this helps and you find something you like.

Yeah I've seen that one before actually when I first bought my truck that was the front end I wanted, but note: its a 99 + front end see how the front grill comes down right in the middle into the bumber, so I am going to still have to swith to a 99 grille, so which way to turn now, I wish I could find a lightning or a Harley front shell for sale, so far no luck, even at local ford dealer, maybe Roger Lemere will know, I need to email him............................

Ok, today i went to the car dealership and looked at the Harley truck, its not a bumper cover, It is a piece bolted to the bottom of the bumper. But if you wanted that you would still have to get the 99 grille shell.

I really like both, if any one knows whom are where I could purchase these I would really appreciate the info, my ford dealer here in my town are a few lug nuts loose.........if you know what I mean.

the reason that i have been looking at bumper covers is, about a week ago i heard a rattle coming from the front of my truck so i took my grille shell off to see if it was my billet grille, when i pulled it off, the 4 screws that hold the billet grille on scratched my bumper down to the metal so now i am also looking for a bumper cover. So if i find any i will let you know.

the same advertisers and others sell 99-00 grille shells as well.....
but in my last post I was referring to all products that were meant for 97-98, if that caused any confusion.

Ok, got it, back to your last post the bumpers with the tear drops, that is a Reflexxions bumper I think, I know of a shop here in my town that I can get it for cost, if you interested let me know, I just don't like the look of it, plus the air damn does not have a place for the billet insert like the chevy's do. They didnt cut it out if you look in the ads you will notice the air dam is solid all the way across.

Thanks for the info!!!!!!

LoweredFord,

I understand your dilema I just went through the same process to change the front end of my 01 Black SuperCrew.
I tried ordering the Roush last July but finally gave up on it, I kept getting the run around on a delivery date. I finally ordered and just got my Lightning parts last week now I am just waiting to get it painted. One cover that I seriously considered was one made by Razzi. Go to http://www.razzi.com/f-150.html to see the truck. I also have a picture Razzi e-mailed me on a white truck just using one set of lights. Wings West, http://www.wingswest.com/index2.html is also making a Lighting replica front bumper cover but it was higher than the Ford parts.

Good luck with your decission.

BTW, I grew up in Murray, KY.

Tim
