Question How do you get Trenz billet grill to fit in grill shell?

I've spent a couple hours wrestling with this critter; I have the shell & grill lying in my living room floor. Bent the grill several times, but doesn't fit well because steel grill prongs bump into plastic shell tabs. Do the plastic tabs go through grill or rest on & bottom of them?
Is grill supposed to be flush with shell, or behind or in front of it?
What do you do with those pop rivets?
Thank you for any help,

Ok, First off did you get the correct part number, what year is the truck and what year does the billet insert go to, if it is the right one you need to take the old center out, it is plastic welded just break and or melt the tabs around the old grille, you will see them from the back you cant miss them, then try to set the billet in place use some sort of tape to line it up and hold it in place, make sure it is where you want it, you may have it upside down I don'l know for sure, but there are rivets in there because that is what holds it to your shell, if it is the right one it should fit right between the shell correctly, if it is not it wont work, I hope I have been some help to you and not confused you more.
