Question F150 Factory Running Boards

Can anyone tell me who makes the factory running boards that come on the 97 or later F150? I like the way they look and I have not found anything out there aftermarket that looks the same. If Ford actually does make them, does anyone know if they sell them at the parts dept? Also if you know of any aftermarket boards that have the same look as the facory ones, I would appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Ford puts out an Accessories catalog each year with items you can order from the parts dept. Base part no. for running boards is 16450

It depends on what board you want. Ford didnt have a factory board on a 97 f150. In 98 they did, i believe that j-mark made the board for them. It look very simmiler to the factory board on a new super duty. In 99 and 2000 they are the same board or bar if you will but, dee-zee makes the tubular type (the ones you get when you order them on the truck from the factory. The molded accessory board is made by Algonquin automotive you can order these at 800-573-4217. I hope this helps-any mare ques just ask im a Ford dealer in north dakota.

The boards one his truck are Ford factory not an accessory, they are made by dee-zee but, I don't thik they sell them over the counter(made for ford onley). If you go to a dealer they sell for $210.00 per side new, dealer cost is less but not much, sorry but this is the only place to get them unless you find some take offs at a dealer or someone takes them off to replace with somthing else.

csacom,
I have the black factory nerf/step bars on my '99. They are very nice, however I would like to put chrome ones on to match my chrome rocker panels, so I would be willing to consider selling them. How much are you looking to buy them for? Please e-mail me or leave a message on here. Thanks

If anyone is interested in part numbers for the factory nerf bars for the F-150...here is what I have on my sales receipt:

XL3Z1645OBAC
XL3Z1645OBBC

(Made in Canada)

There is a left and right nerf bar and they will have to be mounted on the correct side..easy to figure out if you hold them up. Easy to install.

My cost for the set was $189.00 x 2 = $378.00 + tax.
