White Knight, that is a good question about the wiring harness. The actual draw is 85W vs the standard draw of, I believe, around 55W. That's a difference of 2.5amps(if my high school physics serves me correctly). I asked around and satified myself that the existing wiring harness could take that additional load. Perhaps some other more knowledgeable folks than I could weigh in here and give their opinions. At least in my case, so far, so good.

All4chem: I glad someone read my post As far as the temp/color thing, I'm not sure where it comes from, but I know my monitor has "temperature" settings, and they affect the color big time and the settings are given in degrees K. Go figure. Kelvin temperature scale is, of course, the one where 0 K is absoulte zero, and you can't get any colder. Ahh, the good ole days of engineering scho.. wait, that sucked - nevermind.

Howdy All,

Ive been to that website in the past and found it interesting. Although I have to agree with him on the cheapness of some of the bulbs on the market. When I waZ on Ford Diesel I had seen some negative comments on various bulbs that people were installing in their TRuCKs and thats why I waited for the PIAA's to come out. Was concerned about burning up my exsisting harness or lighting circuit as well as lowering my visability with a cheap product.

I don't agree with him about the PIAA's because they have been around since 1963 and allot of professional race teams use their products. You don't get that kind of recognition if your product is junk.

I don't have any fancy light measuring equipment, but I can tell you that there is a HuGE improvment using the PIAA's vs the stock headlight bulbs.

When I enter No-Man's land there ain't no city lights around. The stars are like holes in the blanket of Da night. I feel like I'm driving with my bright's on all the time. You can see well past the shoulder of the road, road signs are almost blinding, and the road is well lit in front of you. These lights live up to there product claims as far as I'm concerned.

I didn't buy them for the looks I bought them because I waZ looking to improve my night time visability and didn't want to add anymore lights on to Da TRuCK. Although I wish PIAA would make replacements for my FogZ.

ThatZ my three cents "ATST"

I just installed a set of the PIAA's and i have to agree...they are very bright and a much whiter light. They also shine out to the sides of the front MUCH more than the stock bulbs do. They did however change my alignment of illumination, which required adjustment. I would recommend them. I bought mine at OffRoad Warehouse here in San Diego for $60.99.

I got my PIAA's from NOPI. I went to a store(mainly for the rice-burner cars) but they sell all kinds of lights and sell the filter charger kits to. But I live in Georgia where the head quarters is. but you could maybe order them from a magazine of website. I paid around $50 related to 60 or 70 others are spending.
