Question Running Board Lights ?

Do you think adding lights to these running boards would look cool or totally lame?

If cool what color/style ?
I was considering adding 2 or 3 amber ones under the door.

Wink

My mother has a 99 explorer with the light on the front of the running board. And the mirror. I like them and wish that I had them on my truck. My opinion, not yellow.

Cool

I saw a F-150 SC with what appeared to be the Expedition Running Boards. I think it looks good and I've also wanted the lights. Hopefully I can find out where to get them or if the Expy running boards will fit. Good luck.

I measured them once they are a couple inches longer (if I remember right). I think they were 80"..??? Dont quote me though. They also make some for the trucks that look just like the Expy boards but without the lights.

Question

RE: running board lights - I think the EXPY lights would look good on the F-150. I have a Y2K 5.4 SC Lariat with Lariat upgrade package. These running boards look more curved on the ends and I don't know if the EXPY light assembly would fit in. Does anyone have any input on this? What part number would the lights alone be? Where in the wiring would a "domelight" switched wire be to tap into? Any input appreciated.
