Be glad you're coming through Wed and not Mon. The Masters golf tournament is next week and traffic on I-20 in the area will be a monster. What time are you coming through?

I NEVER forget the Masters. I always stay away from that side of town when they're playing. Wouldn't mind getting a close look at your truck but I'll be in a training class when you come through.

Question Install question....

OK,
I got my LED light in from Kar Kraft. Unfortunately, no directions are included.
I go and remove the OE light, how in the heck do I unplug the OE light and install the new one??
OR..do I clip the wires that go to the OE one and splice the LED one in?
SOMEONE HELP!!!! PLEASE???

Thanks

Wow, those prices are great. They say they are OEM parts? Seems too good to be true.

It's a Ford part!

31Charlie,
I ordered mine from Karkraft.com and was pleasantly suprised to see it was a Ford OEM part.
As for the installation...wow. It was an adventure!

I consulted Rockpick and a couple of other folks on here who have them installed.

This is from Rockpick:
First and foremost, secure your sister's help if she has tiny arms/hands.

What you'll have to do is drop the rear end of your headliner within the cab. It's a plug that runs from the unit out to a connector and, to my recollection, it's located on the passenger side almost immediately above where the rear passenger would be seated.

Fortunately, my wife is kind of tiny and thus, I had her reach up beneath the headliner to unplug and replug my LED (when I had it). She did this with a VERY minimal 'flex' in the headliner which did not leave any creases or similar.

Be patient... it can be a booger.

It may help if you have a rear sliding window to do EVERYTHING from the bed of the truck as it's a better angle to reach up and beneath the headliner...

Best of luck!

I also had help from 01GreenCrew:
What Rockpick said. The point where it has a connector is attached to the roof of your truck. I pulled mine loose from the roof so I could pull the connector appart more easily, and I have a rear slider so I could get at it easier. To keep from creasing my headliner, I pulled the plastic plugs out of the headliner and removed the coat hooks and dropped it down just a little bit.

This is what I had to do:
I guess since I had Ford install my power moonroof after I bought the truck, they did some modification of their own to my headliner. I attempted to lower it like you guys said, but it wasn't going to budge. So I gently peeled the headliner cloth off the headliner, just to get a view of what ws under there. I find 2 self tapping screws and washers holding the headliner to the metal thats under the "roof".
A lot of the OE headliner had been cut out to make room for the power moonroof. So, I cut a little more and found the plug!

Everything after that was a breeze. I've got some 3M Spray Adhesive which I can use to reattach the headliner cloth I peeled down, but is there anything that I could use to replace the cut out headliner foam?? Would anything stick to the metal and stay stuck??

If you have a moonroof, it'll be a little more difficult;if you have a moonroof that was installed after you bought the truck, you'll have a REAL interesting time! But with patience and a steady hand, you can do it.
I LOVE the light! It matches the Line of Fire I have under my tailgate and it's BRIGHT!
Good luck and order with confidence from KarKraft.

Wow, so does that mean those headlights and taillights are SVT parts as well? Not that they are "cheap" those are still the best prices around I found.
