If Blueflareside would respond . I ordered my Expy Console from LMW. What I would like to know, are there any problems in installing the 6 CD Changer in the Expy Console?.Did it fit ok? Any help would be appreciated. adpend@softcom.net

I did not put my CD changer in the console because it was already installed to the left of the back seat.

If you go to https://www.f150online.com/f150board.../000304-2.html FasFreddy said "i will have to relocate the factory cd changer..cause it is too tall for the console...i wonder if it fits that tall 99 console you guys are talking about??" and then TekSec replied "I have the factory 6-disk, got mine today and disassembled it and cleaned it. I have the changer mounted in it just fine. Maybe you got one that wasn't outfitted with the factory changer. Mine see if you can buy the changer insert at the parts counter.

I'm not BlueFlareSide, but I do own a 2000 Expy with captain's chairs, center console and 6 CD changer (all factory installed). If you are referring the that storage box between the seats, then you'll have no problem. The CD changer mounts against the passenger-side wall of the storage area. And you still have plenty of room for lots of other stuff.

Does all the Expy consoles have a spot for the CD changer in them. Since Teksec has installed his with no problem he might respond. Did Teksec say what year his console was out of? These consoles look Good.

I have an Expy that didnt come with a changer, I added one a few weeks ago. A 8 disc Panasonic, and it fits beautifully. The only thing is that you have to by an adapter in order to use the factory head unit that has the CD control buttons on it. Well this adapter only fits Panasonic or Kenwood changers. Be prepared its expensive. Also they mount the changer using velcro which I wasnt that excited about,but after seeing it installed I was really pleased. Hope this helps
