Ebay HID Kits

Anyone have any experience with these kits that are on Ebay. Are they of good or high quality? What color Kelvin bulbs are you running and some pics would be nice. Recommended sellers stuff like that. Thanks

Be very careful with HID Kits. Most are made in Korea or Taiwan with very POOR Quality Control. The most common problem with asian kits is the electronics. The ballasts fail within a year and your hard earned money is down the drain.
Since HID Kits are illegal in the US, the NHTSA has been cracking down on importation and distribution of PnP Kits. With that said, replacing parts if/when they fail will be hard. This is why I use and supply OEM HID hardware and electronics.

Right now I'm looking at 6000K 9007 McCulloch HID Conversion Kit (plug and play). The kit comes with a 1 year warranty on the ballasts and 6 month on the bulbs. And for about 300.00 bucks shipped and buying from a seller with 100% 900 positive feedbacks thats great to me. This is the name of the Ebay seller I am looking at: zgperformance

Hey Flareside...

Please email directly. Only supporting vendors can discuss products for sale on the boards. Thanks for the understanding...

Note that McCulloch was issued a cease and desist to export Kits to the US and Canada. This means all McCulloch kits are suplus and McCulloch will NOT honor any warranty from the US or Canada. Dealers have been lying and telling people false information just to get rid of them. They fail very fast and you will not be able to get replacement parts. Be careful with your hard earned cash.

Hey HIDPLANET
I went on your website and people are talking about retro fitting and stuff. I have no idea what there talking about. Is there something out there that will not require modding my headlights? I have the lightning headlights and they give off a great sharp beam pattern. Thanks

There is no other way to get the quality output of OEM HID systems without using OEM HID parts. Starting with a good cutoff, you can ruin it by using HID bulbs in them because of their increased lumen output which will or can cause alot of stray light. It doesnt happen on all applications, but is very well known to happen.
