Lightning Headlights With HID Kit Installed
Lightning Headlights With HID Kit Installed
I have the lightning headlight assembly on my F-150. I really want to get a HID kit but people are saying there's going to be glare, hot spots and the beam will be all over the place. Does anyone else have HID installed? Does it work in the housing? Thanks A Bunch.
Why don't you get some Xenarcs? You won't have to worry about blinding oncoming traffic-provided you aim them as per the instructions, and the beams are designed for the HID output unlike the halogen buckets.

I agree 100% with SL. Simply swapping HID bulbs into virtually any stock lens & reflectar assembly is just asking for trouble. You have to remember that a headlight is a system - consisting of a light source (bulb), a reflector and a lens. Changing just one part of the system - without regard to the other parts - will generally compromise the entire system. Like SL said, consider the Xenarc system because it's designed as a system. Because of that, it works great.
I've been doing alot of research last night and today and I believe you guys are right and after talking to HIDPLANET too. I would not want to compromise the safety of other people. Thanks Guys I'll look and the Xenarcs.
